Procedure for VVB Registration

Validation and Verification Body (VVB) is a juristic person who is responsible for validation and verification of Premium T-VER project.  A VVB shall have the following qualifications according to the announcement of the Board of Directors of TGO.  Details are as follows.

  • A juristic person submits an application form for designation as a VVB and supporting documents according to the announcement to TGO. TGO conducts a preliminary review, considering the completeness of all documents. If not complete, TGO will notify the juristic person to submit additional documents or evidences.
  • TGO reviews the correctness of the documents to determine whether it meets the criteria fordesignation as a VVB. If there is a lack of important information, TGO will inform the juristic person to submit additional documents or evidences.
  • TGO presents details of the application to the Subcommittee on Consideration of GHG Mitigation Projects and Activities. The recommendations of the subcomittee will be proposed to the Board of Directors of TGO for approval.
  • TGO notifies the juristic person of the result of consideration.

The VVB is valid for three years from the date of the Board of Directors of TGO for approval.

Rules for VVB Requirements

Validation and Verification Body (VVB) is a juristic person who is responsible for validation and verification of Premium T-VER project. 

According to the Regulation of the Board of Directors of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization re: rules for consideration of registration of Validation and Verification Body for voluntary projects, B.E. 2564 (2021) which entered into force since 4th February 2021, an entity which can be designated as a Validation and Verification Body (VVB) shall be either:

  • Designated Operational Entities (DoEs) accredited by the Executive Board under the Clean Development Mechanism;
  • Entities accredited under ISO 14065 by an accreditation Body that is a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF); or
  • Entities accredited by the National Standardization Council (NSC).
